Yamaha C-65 stereo control amplifier. The preamp sounds nice and is in good working condition! Alll inputs were checked (except phono 2, I dont have a MC phono). And all the switches, controls and lights, and everything works as it should. The cosmetic condition is pretty nice for the age but on the inside of the flip down door by the controls some of the Yamaha name and model lettering are rubbed off, (see photos) not a huge deal and only cosmetic. the control names and numbers are still nice. And has a little marking on the top where a tuner rubber feet sat on top. Overall clean looking preamp! It does have the infamous bottom of the case mounting area where the plastic mounting side rails get cracked and It has had a couple washers put on it for a more snug fit and the top does mount well. In used condition as pictured. Came to me in a full Yamaha system and all functions work great. Some scratching on top and top cover indentation from M-65 Amplifier feet sitting on top of it; tried to capture this in pictures. Component is from a System that was purchased new while in military and stationed in Europe - dual voltage.

It is compatible with infrared and has a wireless range of 5-10 meters approximately.The remote control is black in color and is not included with batteries. The connectivity is wireless and it is compatible with Yamaha brand. Tested for power , transmit button flashes red, lcd screen displays input source and lights up. Down arrow button has damage, the church button has damage as well. Besides that the remote is in very good condition.

Yamaha C-65 Stereo Control Amplifier Preamplifier acquired from the family of the original owner. I gave this unit a thorough testing and everything works as it should. All inputs follow their dedicated signal path and outputs pass a strong signal. I used this unit in my Adcom system, and it actually made my system sound better. Unfortunately, it doesnt match my silver Adcom components so up for auction it goes. This pre-amp has a couple of unique, innovative features. The balance control is a thumb rotary control under the front panel(picture #9), so you dont turn it by mistake. There is a loudness control in addition the regular volume. There are two phono inputs and the seldom used controls are behind a fold down door. This audiophile quality preamplifier is one of the best I have had the pleasure of using. Cosmetically there are some extremely small marks which I touched up with a black marker. The cosmetic and functional condition is a definite excellent. Please view the auction photos.
