This YAMAHA tweeter is in clean, excellent overall condition. The soft textile dome is in flawless shape, well-protected under the acoustically transparent metal screen. Plus, the thick plastic faceplate is also in great shape with no cracks or scratches, just a few light handling marks from the years, and the huge ceramic magnet is free of chips or oxidation. YAMAHA soldered all driver connections in the NS-10M, so I’ve left a few inches of the +/- wires attached to the terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in to their speaker. Overall, this exceptionally well-preserved high frequency driver is practically indistinguishable from new! Most importantly, the tweeter has been fully tested and sounds great—strong and clear output up to a sparkly, beyond-audibility 20kHz upper limit. And, I tested its DC resistance at 6.3-6.4?, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating.
