I found this wonderful amplifier in an estate along with a Yamaha tuner, cassette player and a Marantz turntable. Will be listing all separately. Powered this CA-1000 unit on, and the first thing I saw was the red power lamp does not come on…otherwise all functions appear to be working. It WILL NEED A GOOD CLEANING, as there is static from dust in the controls, noticeable in the tone defeat switches for bass and treble especially. A good contact cleaner spray will hopefully solve that. I tested the tuner function, one phono input, the Aux input and the tape input and all functions operate as they should. I have not opened the unit, as I am not an audio technician….i am selling this unit AS IS and AS Found, at a low opening bid. Powers on and working. This Yamaha amplifier does not work. I’m selling it for parts or repair. I never really used it. It’s been in storage for a while. Pictures prove every button comes on when pressed. I’ve never taken it apart and tried to fix it. It is all original. Another buyer returned it saying it didn’t work. I was unaware.
