Wilson Audio Sophia Series 1 speakers in gloss piano black. Cabinets are in excellent condition. One scratch on the rear of one cabinet (see photo). The two top grills have worn areas in the corners. The foam pads on the front have deteriorated. These foam pads are used to hold the grills in place. I used these speakers for 2 years without the grills. Brand new replacement foam sections were purchased from Wilson at a cost of 400 dollars. New Crates were also purchased from Wilson for 1000 dollars. Speakers sound excellent. These speakers come with both spikes for hard floors, and screw in feet for floors where spikes may cause damage. A brand new copy of the factory owners manual is also included. And two brand new shipping crates are also included. Crated each speaker weighs 325 pounds. Local pick up only.

As most people know the diffraction pads are fragile but can be replaced with a kit from Wilson Audio. The speakers perform flawlessly and have no issues. At a price new of about $12,000, the Sophia gave very close performance to the then contemporary WATT/Puppy 6 system at half the price point. It was no surprise that the Sophia mk1 was a Stereophile Magazine Class 'A' Recommended Component shortly after it debuted. There is one pair of binding posts at the rear. The speakers only accept spade lug connections. Selling due to move. The speakers are not a good fit for my current space. They are still packed and ready for shipping as it's rare to find Wilson speakers with the original crates. I should have taken more pics of them but unfortunately did not. I have 100% positive feedback rating. The speakers are in very good condition with no marks or damage. Buyer pays freight. Crate dimensions are 48 x 28 x 19 each. Each crated speaker weighs 200lbs, 400lbs total. I would recommend putting both crates on a pallet which I am willing to do.
