Nach den bemerkenswerten Erfolgen der Diamond10-, Diamond100- und Diamond200-Serien wurde nun die neue Diamond11-Serie vorgestellt. Das Design der Wharfedale Diamond11 ist schlanker als je zuvor. Das Gehäuse hat eine kantige Form und ist an mehreren Stellen intern verstärkt, um Resonanzen zu reduzieren. Die Vorderseite ist hochglänzend lackiert, und jeder Lautsprecher, einschließlich Hoch- und Tieftöner, verfügt über ein eigenes Schutzgitter. Die Diamond11-Serie ist leicht an der Aluminiumumrandung zu erkennen, die jeden Lautsprecher umgibt. Zu dieser Serie gehören die Regallautsprecher 11.0, 11.1 und 11.2, die Standlautsprecher 11.3, 11.4 und 11.5 sowie die Center-Lautsprecher 11CC und 11CS. Intern wurden ebenfalls einige Verbesserungen vorgenommen. Zum Beispiel wurde ein fortschrittlicher Crossover-Filter implementiert, die Bässe wurden verstärkt und der Luftstrom wurde optimiert. Die Kevlar-Tieftöner wurden durch den Einsatz von Glasfaser verstärkt und steifer gemacht. Jeder Lautsprecher hat einen...n Crossover-Filter. Ich verkaufe sie, da ich mir andere Modelle geholt habe, welche mir persönlich von der Klangcharakteristik mehr zusagen (erdiger, bassbetonter, die Höhen etwas zurückgenommen). Die Wharfedales haben eine sehr luftige Klangcharakteristik mit Betonung in den Mitten und Höhen, die z.B. Stimmen wunderbar wiedergibt. Der Bass ist für sich schon ordentlich, die Boxen profitieren aber definitiv von einem Subwoofer. Für schlagzeugbetonten Heavy Metal meiner Meinung nach eher weniger, ansonsten aber zum Langzeithören geignet. Aus der Boxenserie gibt es ein komplettes 5.1 System, so können sie mit Standlautsprechern, Subwoofer und Center ergänzt werden.In einem rauch-, dampf- und haustierfreien Haushalt aufgestellt.
