Vintage Wharfdale Denton 2 Speakers / HiFi / Stereo. Owned from new, and well cared for, for 30 or 40 years by my elderly mother, but no longer needed. Some wear, see scratches.

For vinyl lovers who want to hear their older records that they have cherished and the latest releases on wonderful180g vinyl, all sounding fantastic as they should, played on a proper HiFi system! This is a vintage vinyl HiFi separates system. Consisting of a classic Pioneer SX590 Receiver, The excellent Pioneer PL-112D turntable fitted with a good low use cartridge. Matched with a lovely pair of Wharfdale Denton speakers fitted with upgraded connection posts. High quality bespoke 3 metre speaker cables with banana plugs fitted and power leads included. All tested - SX590 has been serviced and fitted with new LED illumination and all pots cleaned. It has bespoke Oak side panels to replace the tired originals. PL-112D has new belt, with a (lightly used) Audio Technica cartridge (1.8 grams tracking weight) and oiled and tested. For streaming fans you can feed via AUX an iPad/Mac/iPhone via a DAC unit (Digital To Analogue) or a Network Music Player/Streamer and bring the system fully up to date. (I use a Zen DAC V2 with an iPad through AUX which sounds just great).This is a collection of quality vintage kit that sounds every bit as good as it looks. Remember this is vintage kit (Mid 70s era) and shows age appropriate marks here and there, nothing severe, I have tried to show the obvious marks on the pictures so please examine closely. The PL-112D has been owned by my family since new so I know its full history. The SX 590 was a refurbishment project along with the Wharfdales that were selected for this system. It is strictly collection only, I will not ship this. For a local buyer I would be happy to deliver and set up if needed. This can be negotiated.The system price however is what it is, a fair price for quality units nicely set up and cared for. Bought as seen like most items of this vintage.. With that in mind.. I am an electronics engineer so any future servicing or advice is available (often a big worry buying vintage gear).Questions? Hi fi audio speakers wharfdale. Please see the photos for the condition. The tweeter on one speaker has been repaired. These are being sold as spares or repair. They do work but they need sone tlc.
