You are bidding on a pair of Western Electric type VT-2 radio/audio tubes, first made during WW I. These are sometimes called 205B tubes, and one has the navy designation of CW-931 embossed on the envelope. On my military TV-7D/U tester they test good, using the settings for a 205E, where the minimum for a good tube is 27. Using 4.3 volts on the filament, both test at 38. Increasing the filament voltage to 5 volts results in readings of 50 and 44. So they are strong tubes that should make a good pair. They are in fairly clean condition, and the internal glass support rods are intact, and unbroken. The serial numbers embossed on the envelopes are 621786, and 101748. I believe the one with the CW-931 designation is an earlier example than the other. They should make a nice pair for your amplifier. Shipping weight is 1.5 pounds. No shipping to China. You are bidding on a group of 4 Western Electric type 717A / VT-269 radio/audio tubes. On my Amplitrex AT1000 tester they test good. The first tests at 96% of the specifications for a new tube for emission, Em, and 90% of the specifications for mutual conductance, Gm. The other tubes test at 136% Em and 79% Gm, 136% Em and 126% Gm, and 61% Em and 77% Gm. So they are good usable tubes, but none of the readings are consistent. Ive always found this to be the case in testing 717As, even when new from a sealed box. They are guaranteed to be good usable tubes for your project. Shipping weight is 10 ounces.
