Up for auction I have a very interesting pair of of Northern Electric R4059A Pre Amplifiers.These units were used in the Hammond Model E full Concert Organ.Built by Northern Hammond in Montreal Canada in the late 1930s or early 1940s.This was a very rare organ costing some were in the range $5000 in 1940 dollars.These preamps were used to drive the Northern Western Electric Tone Cabinets that were powered by the famous N.E. R4045C power amplifiers like I have in my other auction.They have two input channels and one output.A service manual will be included so input and output connections can be seen.These are very rare and I can faithfully say that there has never been a pair of these listed on eBay in years.These units can be adapted for meany uses such as Microphone preamps , Step up units for MC cartridges and many others that a competent technician could think of.Contained in each unit a 6.3 vac.
