Selling my Well Tempered Classic in excellent condition:* Includes original cover which as you can see is in near perfect condition.* Includes both original tonearm weights.* Includes four original adjustable feet not seen on many units.* Plinth is excellent and the layers are not shifted.* The nubs in the bearing cup are intact.* Tonearm wiring is original and in excellent shape. I have upgraded the cartridge clips to Cardas PCCEG Gold Cartridge Clips and wrapped them in Color Coded Heat Shrink (~$25 parts cost not including labor) to reduce noise and facilitate cartridge installation.* I serviced the motor by removing excess grease and gunk accumulated over the years. Also lightly lubed the motor shaft and thrust plate with appropriate lubricant for each application. Motor runs much smoother with less vibration than before. Power switch was wonky due to a slight crack, so I replaced it with a new identical switch in black.* Unit comes with two belts. The one in use (not sure if its original) PLUS a brand new replacement belt from LP Gear that costs $45. IMO the replacement belt is not as nice as the one that is on the unit now but hey, its a spare.* Tonearm wires on the RCA connector block have been tightened and soldered as needed.* Well Tempered User Set-up guide and paper Well Tempered specific protractor included.This unit is plug and play. WELL TEMPERED REFERENCE Legendärer Tonarm - sehr selten zu bekommen Selten als Einzelstück zu bekommen (damaliger Neupreis 4950.- DM!), war und ist der Well Tempered von Bill Firebaught schon eine Legende. Auch deswegen, weil er so ganz anders konstruiert ist als normale Tonarme. Es gibt viele Testberichte, ein Interview mit Bill Firebaught und andere lesenswerte Artikel in der mitgelieferten Infomappe. Ausschließlich alle Tests bescheinigtem dem Well Tempered einen außergewöhnlich guten Klang.Trotzdem dass er so anders ist als konventionelle Tonarme lässt er sich dennoch einfach handhaben, wenn man sich etwas mit seiner Technik befasst hat. Dazu gibt es die Bedienungsanleitung, die ebenfalls in der Mappe enthalten ist. Der Zustand ist einwandfrei. Einige wenige Gebrauchsspuren findet man vor allem auf dem Anschlussterminal (s. Fotos) und auf der Headshell.Der mitgelieferte Fingerbügel ist nicht original, sondern stammt von einem Stax-Tonarm. Manche Eigner verwenden den Well ohne einen Fingerbügel, was durch die Konstruktion auch leicht geht. Die Tonarmstütze ist nicht original, lässt sich aber im Gegensatz zum Original in der Höhe verstellen. Der Well Tempered Reference kommt mit allen drei Gegengewichten und OHNE Öl in der Wanne, sonst lässt sich das Stück schlecht versenden! Herstellerseitig war ein Silikonöl mit 100.000 cps vorgesehen, das man für einen kleinen Eurobetrag bei Ebay oder in jedem Modellbauladen bekommt. Manche Eigner mischen auch oder verwenden dünneres oder dickeres Öl.Ich schätze, man braucht um die 15-20 ml. Zur Montage und Einstellung liegen die zwei originalen Schablonen bei. Hier also die seltene Gelegenheit diesen außergewöhnlichen Meilenstein im Tonarmbau zu erwerben und auszuprobieren. Der Versand erfolgt sachgerecht verpackt als versichertes Paket. Well reviewed great sounding turntable. Sold as is Unit powers up but tonearm was not tested. It appears to be all there including tonearm spacers and extra belt. Will need damping fluid for tone arm, silicone 100,000ct available on Ebay.
