We test our cassette decks for several hours using a combination of very old, worn tapes, new old stock tapes, pre-recorded original tapes, and custom made tapes from our own new tape stock. Only when a deck can make it through a test cycle without any major issues, and without eating a tape, do we post them for sale. Despite all this, it will still eat a tape from time to time.
