Works as it should. Amazing phono section. I am currently running it with a high end low output MC cartridge, no step up, it sounds great! Several new caps installed in phono section.

Here’s a vintage audiophile classic, the VTL Maximal stereo preamplifier. I believe this was the second production model VTL put out. The unit features Tuner, Tape, and CD for standard inputs, and also offers a phono stage. The preamp is all tube and is loaded with a set of 4 vintage RCA 12au7s believed to be close to NOS spec. Unfortunately this is being sold ASIS for repair. The last time the unit was used the standard preamp section worked find but the phono stage had no output. Thanks for looking!
