I bought this VPI Signature 21 in Rosewood from Audio Advisor (an authorized VPI dealer) on June 29, 2022 (I have proof of purchase that I can provide to the buyer). It comes with the VPI fatboy gimbal tonearm as shown in the photos. The turntable is not even 2 years old. I purchased it with a EAT Jo No. 8 moving coil cartridge. If you were to buy these two today from Audio Advisor it would cost you $13,049 plus tax. I am also throwing in a Waynes Audio ring clamp that I purchased separately for $600. The VPI turntable went into a second, higher-end system. My main home-office system features a Technics SL-1200GAE turntable. Over the last couple of years my listening habits have changed considerably and I am not spinning vinyl as much as I used to. The VPI Signature 21 has probably played no more than 20 albums in the time that I have owned it. Some would say the turntable and cartridge hasnt even been broken in yet. In any event, I am not playing vinyl enough to justify keeping the VPI. And I am not using the Technics all that much either. Over the last 20 years I have been transcribing a lot of my vinyl to high resolution digital audio, mostly 24bit/352.8KHz FLAC and DSD256. I play these hi resolution digital needle drops through a high-end DAC and listen on my 64 Audio u18t reference IEMs. I have been dismantling the second system for months and selling it off in bits and pieces. The VPI Signature 21 is the last of it to go. I am sure I will get questions about the warranty so I will provide that information here. VPI warranties are not transferable. So if you require a turntable with a warranty then you should order a new one from VPI or from an authorized dealer, where you will pay full price. The current cost of the Signature 21 in Rosewood without a cartridge is $10,250. A new Jo No. 8 moving coil cartridge will set you back $2,799. I also have a phono preamp that I paired with the VPI Signature 21 that I will put up for sale in a separate listing. The turntable will ship in the original boxes via FedEx Home Delivery or UPS Ground. I will only ship to the lower 48 U.S. States. The shipping weight is almost 70lbs. Buyer pays all shipping and insurance costs. Neither FedEx or UPS offer shipping insurance directly. There are third party shipping insurers such as ShipCover and SecursUS.
