Akai 4000DS Reel To Reel Tape Recorder + a load of reelsI bought this with some other hi fi equipment. I do not use a reel to reel but had to buy all of the equipment to get the bits I wanted. The Akai was set up and being used until a little while before it was sold. I have tried out the play mode and the is some kind of static / interference noise apparent oneone channel. Great example of vintage AKAI REEL TO REEL Tape Recorder, fully working order, just had new belts fitted, potentiometers lubricated, heads demagnetised , playing and recording tapes as new! For cosmetic condition please see attached pictures- few small scratches around, nothing major, great condition for the year, hard to find another example like this ones this days Including printable manual instruction and power lead PLEASE NOTE THE AKAI SPOOLS REALS NOT INCLUDE WITH THE SALE-JUST THE TAPE DECK!!! Vintage Akai Gx4000d Reel To Reel Player Recorder with dust cover. Both in stunning condition with only a few age related marks and some slight wear to corners of the veneered sides. Unfortunately listed for parts not working. When testing both channels worked without fault but after about 10mins the left channel stopped working. When the tape was stopped and restarted the left channel intermittently worked again,but after a while stopped. So at present only the right channel is working. Please be fully aware of the above before bidding. This would make an ideal project someone as I think its too good to split for parts. Open to sensible offers. Can be viewed/collected from ne16 gateshead area or posted via ups. Will be well packed if posted. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Vintage Akai 4000D Reel-to-Reel ...1971 Super cool Fantastic sound .Original BoxMk 1.Re-listed ..so here we go again ..... Sound is really good.Please study the pictures and video.It is totally original and as far as I can see it has no noticeable defects.Please watch the video to show it working. Power button is temperamental.However this unit has not been tested or serviced by a professional and you are buying as such.
