DESCRIPTION: A record player equipped with a turntable TT-71. Quartz Lock DD Turntable TT-71 sold as a stand-alone product is mounted on the turntable part. The drive motor is equipped with an FG servo system of full circumference integral detection type with torque of 1 kg ? cm or more. This speed detection mechanism consists of a ring magnet, a magnetic disk with 180 slots (FG yoke), and 180 power generation print coils (FG substrate). Together with the motor, when the magnetic disk makes one revolution, 180 pulses are generated for each of 180 coils. Therefore, the total detection output appears in the form of integrating the outputs of the whole circumference of 180 coils. There are few detection errors, and the absurdity of generating the cause of wow and flutter by the servo system itself can be almost eliminated. In addition, a turntable with a total weight of 2.2 kg including rubber covering has been adopted, and a quartz lock has been added to improve overall rotational accuracy. The quartz lock circuit compares the phase of the reference signal based on the accurate oscillation frequency of the crystal with that of the signal sent from the speed detector of the motor. The QL-Y77F has some impressive stats, including an SNR of 80 dB (DIN-B) and wow and flutter of 0.008% WRMS (FG method). The QL-Y77F features a double servo quartz circuit to control the motor, for stable platter rotation. Additionally, the turntable has as a handsome vintage design. Overall, it’s a phenomenal unit! It comes with the legendary Ortofon MC10 mkII, and has just been serviced and runs and sounds like a million bucks. You would have to spend $5k today to get this kind of sound from any new TT in fact I have a $6k VPI and this sounds every bit as good, and its fully automatic. I can change the Cartridge to a MM if you dont have a MC Preamp. But the detail is amazing! You can find these in Japan but trust me I have ordered 2 and both came to me in broken pieces.I would never sell this, but while I was waiting for this one to be serviced. (4 months) I found a near mint one and bought it. I would probably sell that one and keep this one. But that one would be over $2k.
