Poichè questa è andata a villeggiare a Capri, Scannagatti vi si reca e, dopo una falsa telefonata, va fino a Milano, dove sincontra con Tiscordi. Questi lo prende per un infermiere e infine lo scaccia. Inseguito da suo cognato e da due altri artisti, Scannagatti li conduce ad un teatro di burattini che prende per la Scala. Scannagatti finirà trucidato dal cognato inferocito, ma la sua musica trionferà e Caianello gli erigerà un monumento.
