This subwoofer powers on but seems to have a short at the volume control.You can get sound from the sub but it cuts in and out when adjusting volume. I plugged it in and ran it ..as it warms up It becomes quiet and works fine.. but when you initially plug it in, it does have a hum. Again, however, the driver is perfect.
