Bought these Sig ll Anniversary Editionabout three years ago from the Vandersteen dealer when the Sig 3s came out.I also have the Acoustic Zen Satori shotgun bi-wire speaker cable for these if you are interested. The four spades, (for each speaker end), have been filed down to fit in the slots on the Vandersteen speaker screw type binders. I believe the shot gun cables, as highly recommended by Vandersteen, are heavy and GREAT sounding Acoustic Zen cables were about $1700.00. Vandersteen Model 1 Speakers in PRISTINE condition. THESE ARE ORIGINAL MODEL 1’s (no letter after serial numbers). To find an original pair in virtually unused condition is super rare! These Were removed from sealed original boxes by a moving company that was hired to discard all items from an estate. Yes, they were meant to be thrown out. The movers were intrigued by the sealed Vandersteen speaker boxes…weren’t sure what they were. So they opened them up and decided not to discard the speakers (brilliant decision…duh). Unfortunately, they tossed the boxes (not brilliant). I was offered the chance to buy them and obviously did. The speakers were never used until I bought banana plugs to test them. They work and sound amazing! There is hardly a mark on these…maybe a stray mark here and there, but essentially OUTSTANDING 98% condition! Even the grill fabric is near flawless. These are excellent sounding speakers that portray the true capability of your stereo components. Comes with owners manual stand and original boxes for speakers. The speaker cloth has cosmetic wear and tear but is not noticeable unless you look up close. One of the back of the speakers has 2 small tears in the speaker cloth and there are fabric burrs. See pics for details. The fabric burrs may be cleaned up with good fabric shaver. Please note the shipping is calculated for ONE BOX ONLY as that is the way the system is set up.
