I stored the label in the cartridges jewel case, but now the jewel case and box is gone (I suppose the half-empty box looked useful to someone else in the household--my fault for leaving items around!). Previously I had an Ortofon MC 10 in the Rega since purchase in 1985 and which was in use until 1999 when the Rega was put in storage. Early 2013 I unpacked the Rega and was going to sell it but it still worked OK and still sounded much more open and less compressed than the flac files I was playing through my 24bit professional sound card with Burr Brown dacs so after a clean up and service I then tried many of the now popular new MM cartridges but I still missed the detail and clarity of MC. I saw a brand new reissue MC 20 Supreme on ebay with a cheap buy now price and since purchase still cant believe my luck. Really tight and deep bass and with beautifully detailed mid to high frequencies with no harshness whatsoever. This cartridge still gives me goosebumps on acoustic vocals when you close your eyes, it seems like you are at the live performance. My son has played guitar to a high standard for thirteen years and he is blown away by the tonal accuracy and minute detail when acoustic guitar music is being played.Mods done to the Rega in the last year or so are:- rewired arm, custom VTA added, ISOsub GT sub platter, ruby/saphire bearing upgrade, new heavier tungsten tonearm weight, Thorens Q-up arm lifter, 24V motor upgrade and it now sits on a custom made 40kg high mass laminated granite isolation platform. Digs deep into the grooves to reveal natural vocals, deep tight bass and shimmering treble. 0.5mV output means volume does not need to be turned right up for normal listening via a Graham Slee Fanfare 3 phono stage.
