CJ Walker CJ55 Turntable with Michell Focus Unipivot Tonearm. A very rare, highly collectible and beautiful sounding early British turntable. Refurbished & Serviced holds speed beautifully and will give many years of listening pleasure. Suspended wooden Sub chassis with a 10mm bronze bearing, sub platter and platter made of Tufnol. On/off is via the discrete button on the front. Runs either 33.3rpm or 45rpm, speed is changed by lifting the (new) belt between the different sized pulleys. Original (removable) lid is in great condition with no cracks, chips or splits and looks fantastic. Hinge resistance is adjusted via the screw heads either side of the hinge which can be set to self support the lid if you wanted it up during operation. Overall this is an absolute stunner and wouldn’t look out of place in most living rooms. Certainly scores high on the “Partner Approval Factor” ratings :) I would keep it but I’m having to have a bit of a clear out as I’m setting up a new hi-fi dealership! DECCA London International unipivot tonearm. Pulled off a Linn Sondek LP12 Comes with the Decca London Cartridge attached in decent used shape. Cueing power lift may not work- I couldnt get the cueing motor to do anything.

Working but unknown hours VMS 20E MM cartidge fitted. Only the odd minor mark here and there, but as you can see, this is a superb example. There is one stubborm bit of tape residue on the front left edge… which i am currently trying to get off.. Lid hinges are undamaged. The holes on the right hand side of the top plate are where the original thorens arm lifter used to be.
