Onkyo TX-8555 Home Theater AM/FM Stereo Receiver 100 wpc with SiriusXM module This Onkyo receiver was originally purchased for streaming Sirius/XM radio to our 120 year old home. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that an outdoor antenna would be necessary for decent reception, and we never undertook the difficult task of installing the necessary cabling. Consequently, the unit has been sitting unused in a cabinet for the past several years. We recently rediscovered it when we needed a test instrument for diagnosing a friendss malfunctioning stereo system. The test worked (bad RCA cables - weird, eh?), and, thus, here is the rediscovered unit, now for sale. Full testing indicates that the audio system inputs and outputs are working. RCA inputs/outputs include Phono, CD, Tape, DVD, Game/TV, Cable/SAT, VCR/DVR, and outputs for a Subwoofer as well as PreAmp outputs for delivering audio output to a second amplifier. The system includes the original (working) remote, both AM and FM antennas, and the Sirius/XM Module. The unit will be shipped by the least expensive ground service available, unless the buyer requests otherwise. **N.B. Onkyo has a reputation for making rock-solid audio equipment with excellent electronic components. Case in point: I ran a TX-35 stereo receiver in my offices waiting room, 6 days-a-week without failure, for approximately 30 years and until I eventually closed my office. There are several other audio brands Ive used over the past 55 years which, unfortunately, have been far less durable and pleasing.
