Here for sale is a Hitachi stereo radio cassette player in full working order, excellent sounding unit, this has been fully stripped and serviced, including new tape deck belts and all capacitors changed, few age related marks but nothing serious, all functions work exactly how they should, all radio bands pick up stations and has a very sensitive tuner, tape deck functions as it should and has loads of torque. Full demo will be given. Work carried out - Unit fully stripped and cleaned.Controls cleaned with Deoxit D5.Tape deck fully disassembled, cleaned, new grease and oil used where needed.New belt kit, pinch rollers treated with rubber renew and motor speed adjusted. ( Quality belts used not the cheap pack of 50 that have imperfections causing wow and flutter )Changed all the electrolytic capacitors new Panasonic and MCM high temp long life capacitors. ( This will extend the life of the unit as capacitors age and drift values. ) This is a nice clean sounding unit that does go loud, changing out the capacitors helped that out a lot with less distortion, cleaner treble, more bass and better stereo soundstage. I am happy to pack this up for the buyer to arrange a courier collection if needed.
