Since I listen to music 98% of the time with large McIntosh floor standing speakers, it was rarely ever used. I can not find any surface imperfections as it was kept in a enclosed audio cabinet. I used it to drive twin Triad Gold 12 subs. I just pulled it out of my system as I came across a pair of powered Mcintosh PS112 subs that match the rest of my home systems speakers. The build quality is second to none and this beast weights in at 24lb.
