Kept in storage for years and has been fitted with a new belt. Comes with new silicone fluid and original bag and instructions that came with the turntable Turntable has some scuffs and minor corrosion on metallic parts (see photos) but is in working condition and has been tested Fitted with a Linn Basik Plus Tonearm and a Linn K9 cartridge - likely original so cartridge may not have much life left in it. Listing for williamson1969co****** Townshend Rock II Elite Damper This is a reproduced damper for the Cranfield / Townshend Rock II Elite turntable, Its trough and base are manufactured from gloss black acrylic, which is a laser cut profile and then the pockets machined, the pillars are aluminium alloy coated in satin black. It features a similar O ring locking system the original damper used along with an additional thumb grip at the end of the damper and with the twin column system gives it a more modern look that the later Rock turntables employed. The base features an elongated slot to give additional adjustment when setting up the arc of your arm, and also comes with a 2mm base spacer should you have a higher fixed platter mat, in my case I have 3mm bonded acrylic mat, as opposed to the original vinyl bonded mat which was approx 1.2mm, hence the requirement to space the damper up, 2 separate lengths screws are provided for the different heights. The underside of the base has a felt covering, as this gives more grip to the base when secured to the turntable. I did 3D print a damper some time back but wasnt happy with the results given that the damper is at the front of the turntable and an aesthetic part of the turntable, so have opted for this option. Pictures 1 to 3 show what is included in the sale, the outrigger, turntable, tonearm etc are not included, although I do sell the twin outrigger in one of my other listings.
