They came out of a set of high end forest series with the hi gloss cherry finish. They were damaged cosmetically on the front and the surrounds are ripped. One has a hairline scratch....not torn dust cover or cone. The others dust cover is pushed in. Purchased here on Bay 3-4 years ago and one of the bass drivers was not working properly when they arrived. I had both drivers replaced by authorized dealer. They were ordered directly from Totem and matched to their serial numbers. I havent put 5 hours on them since I got them back. Been sitting in boxes. Took them out to photograph. Copy of receipt for 709.00 for replacement drivers. There is some minor chaffing on front edge of one speaker shown in pictures. Other than that cabinets are very good. 7/10 because of front edge. I love Totem Hawks but have lost interest in listening to music. I have double boxes and claws. I dont have original jumpers but I used my own. They are not coming with jumpers. Brand New Totem Bass Drivers from Totem matched to their serial numbers. Yourre not buying 10 year old speakers with a thousand hours on them.

Their imaging and their highly defined, rhythmic bass rival those of other loudspeakers several times their price. The B&W Matrix 805 has a more open top end, but not quite the bass definition or imaging. Only by ascending to the Sonus Faber Electa Amators ($4500/pair) will one exceed the Totems imaging, power, and bass definition in moderate and large rooms. For imaging, only the Sonus Faber Extrema exceeds this small two-way in spatial definition and depth of soundfield. The Totems benefit greatly from the use of quality amplification, bi-wiring, and topnotch stands like the Targets. Perhaps my admiration of the Totems was influenced by the mysticism and power of their name. Perhaps. Yet time and again I returned to them, preferring the Totems to other loudspeakers in my listening room. Playing pipe-organ music or reproducing spoken voice, this diminutive Canadian monitor had a tight, solid bass response and an ability to image with a three-dimensionality not heard with the comparison loudspeakers. The Totems were smooth and undistorted, allowing long listening sessions free of fatigue and irritation. Their small size did not prevent them from performing well in both the small and large listening rooms. Perhaps the Totems build quality contributed to my embarrassing enthusiasm. Who knows? They retailed for near $2,350. The long-throw low frequency drivers are made by Dynaudio and are excellent and do a lot of work. At 6 ohms, theyre very efficient and easy to drive. These speakers are best placed somewhat close to a wall, but not entirely dependent on placement. I had them paired with a Musical Fidelity M6si, so they can handle a lot of power, more than 120 watts. The tweeter is excellent, with clear, unoffensive rendering and broad dispersion. The Hawk is most similar to the Bison, the current Totem model. These were made in Canada. The cabinets are beautiful and in great condition. Regarding shipping: there TWO boxes of 37 x 12 x 16, each weighing 29 pounds. To calculate shipping costs, be sure to enter two boxes of that size. They are easily shippable, not terribly heavy, and I am happy to do it -- but the buyer will pay the exact actual cost encountered at the FedEx or UPS counter.
