Up for auction is a Toshiba Compact Disc Player Model XR-J9 made in August 1986 Cosmetically, it is still in great condition with only minor scratches. I tested it, and it plays the discs just fine. There is a flaw with the volume control switch, the volume control does not make the proper connection and can vary from being a weak signal, playing with static, playing on one side only or playing perfectly if moved in the right position. I am not an expert in electronics, but it may need a new switch or perhaps can be repaired. Other than the volume control issue its in great condition. Due to the flaw, this is sold as is.
