I have no tested this out with speakers or anything. I powered it on but couldnt play a CD because for one I have no speakers two I dont have a CD. I have no idea if it plays a CD. It does have original remote with it. I cant confirm if the remote works because the little battery spring that is in the battery terminal area one of the springs is missing. But I do have the remote it would probably need to be fixed. Im selling both the player and remote as Untested and unknown if it plays. It does power on though. This is a very nice sounding Toshiba CD player that works well. I just cleaned the unit inside and out and lubricated the laser mechanism moving parts and cleaned the laser lens. Made in Japan in 1986. Solid build quilts that stands the test of time. Perfect old faithful garage or workshop cd player or as part of a retro sound system. No remote control is included but you can still find them online or use a universal remote if needed.

The disc tray has an issue where if you press the open/close button it won’t open for like 3 minutes after you press it. If you let it sit for a while and then press it, it opens right up. Not sure what could cause that. Also, I have never hooked it up to a speaker so I am not sure if it will actually play a disc. Other than that, the remote works great, and the rest of buttons on the unit work fine! Thanks for taking a look.
