The Toshiba PT-470 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was introduced by Toshiba in 1974 and discontinued 2 years later in 1976. The main features of the Toshiba PT-470 are: 2 heads, analog 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection with support for normal and chrome tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.this deck has the 70s top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.Cassette Deck is in very good condition. I had planned on doing this myself but time has run away with me. Clock timer lights up. Includes instruction and wired remote. Cosmetically this is good, it is a lovely display model, there are some surface imperfections, like light cable melt lines to the left of the cassette carriage. Some dust build up in areas of detail so would require a thorough clean. As with all electronics of this vintage I would recommend a full service by a competent engineer, lots of small components can degrade with age and may need replacing for optimum performance. This is a bulky machine and heavy.
