The one complaint is the remote has to be aimed at an angle from the bottom or side for it to work well. The online reviews say the same thing. Other than that this is a great little preamp. This is a gently used Topping Pre90/Ext 90 for sale offered at a very reasonable price and works flawlessly! I am selling both the Pre90 and EXT90 together as a whole and both are in excellent operating condition. I refer to the Stereophile review of the Topping Pre90 from the Jan 28.2022 edition and was determined to be superior to the Schiit Freya Plus. I refer you to the Topping or Apos Audio website for its amazing specifications. It is a super clean , flawlessly working preamplifier and I am selling the Pre90 + EXT90 together as a single sale with the remote and I have kindly included a Sofabaton remote which throws a much wider , accurate IR signal to the Topping Pre90 as the factory remote requires carefully aiming towards the IR sensor of the Pre90 and the Sofabaton universal remote throws a much wider signal which allows for more effortless volume adjustment. This preamp works perfectly, the Pre90 and the included Ext9p are both meticulously packed in the cushioned factory boxes in a single shipping box, will be promptly sent to you upon receipt of payment. The Pre90 specs are extremely close to the Benchmark LA4, a legendary preamp that is a lot more expensive. So close that i suspect Topping reverse-engineered the LA4 to base this unit upon. Regardless, it’s an exceptionally clean and transparent pre. Truly the definition of getting out of the way of the music. I have experience with a lot of great gear, and have held onto this in case i needed it again. But i have plenty of redundancy now and need to declutter a bit. Kept in a dry, smoke free house in a high storage cubby. Excellent condition, basically like new. Will come with everything you see, pictures are of actual item, no stock photos. $599 new, this is a great deal.
