This is my Threshold S/300 Audio Power Amplifier.Black in color.I last used it a couple of months ago. It is in good working order, and it sounds great. This is a powerful, pure-sounding Class A/AB audio amplifier. It is 150 watts per channel into 2-channels. 300 watts total.Photos are of my actual item.Retail price was $2,800 when new. Here is a review from Kahl Audios website: The STASIS technology was one of the great audio engineering “wonders” (engineered and patented by Nelson Pass) from the Nineties. And the Threshold amps that carried this technology is still one of the most coveted amps in hifidom. This S/300 is a later design that featured Optical Bias (which increases its desirability) which was a sonic improvement over the earlier models that didn’t have it. Technology was state of the art back then but the amp easily rivals anything out there in the sub-$5,000 category. Power output is a robust 150W per channel and the built and finish is second to none. Threshold gears are very rugged and almost meant to last forever . Threshold S/500 Power Amp(STASIS Class A/AB Optical Bias)Unit powers on and we played music through it using a turntable & preamp. There was some hum, but I dont know what caused it - perhaps a grounding issue? Regardless, we make no guarantee that it is performing to spec. Cosmetically near perfect, a few light scuffs or scratches. Original manual & warranty card included. (See statement below.)This is a beast; therefore, shipping is not cheap!
