This is the 2 version with the larger E power supply but not the balanced outputs of the final E version. One of the best Nelson Pass designs. Gold circuit board, premium parts. Currently set for moving coil, 47k ohms. Easy to remove top cover and set dip switches for your cartridge. Sounds wonderful, wish I could keep it. Very good with box, foam packaging & manual which explains the DIP settings for cartridge loading and gain (40 or 60 db), a few light scuffs on top cover.Will be double boxed. Here we have a completely recapped and upgraded POWER SUPPLY for the Threshold Fet Ten preamp. ( Fits many other Threshold components). It is in near mint condition with audio grade capacitors, higher in capacitance and quality, New ultra fast soft recovery rectifiers and Mil- Spec Dale metal film resistors.

You are looking at one of the best phono preamplifiers ever designed! Probably the best effort by the genius Nelson Pass. It replaced my Audio Research SP10, which at the time was and still is considered as having one of the best phono sections available at any price! The preamp was recently completely reconditioned by Avatar Engineering to above the performance of the unit when it was brand new. The power supply ( Which is the E version, the much better unit per Nelson Pass, with 10 times the capacitance) has also been upgraded with new higher capacity audio grade capacitors bypassed with polypropelene film caps, the diodes were replaced with ultra fast soft recovery rectifiers with a Kiwame resistor and improved wiring. As to the line stage there too the electrolytic capacitors were replaced with superior Panasonic FM caps. All inferior tantalum capacitors were replaced with polypropylene film caps, and most important the original mylar capacitors were replaced with audio grade polypropylene and polystyrene units! Some of the other upgrades include the addition of Takman, PRP and Vishay Dale ultra precision S102 .05% audiophile resistors. This phono preamp is truly a reference level component that is in Pristine condition. You will not be disappointed with this GEM. I am offering a 30 day warranty on the Threshold at asking price.
