Up for sale at50% of the original price is an Usher R1.5 power amplifier, 200 WPC. Usher is a high end audio company out of Taiwan, they build some one the worlds finest speakers, and this amp was built to be a clone of the legendary Threshold S300 power amp. It was built with Nelson Passs blessing, in fact he was very impressed with the amp. It is not an exact copy, but an improvement, as several of the parts and circuits have been upgraded with newer, more modern components. However, the exterior of the amp, thankfully, retains near-identical styling of the original Threshold, one of the best class A-B amps ever made. It has some of the tightest, cleanest bass of any amp. And its ever bit as solid of a build, this amp weighs 80 lbs. It accepts eith traditional RCA inputs, but also balanced inputs as well. The speaker terminals are 5 way binding posts, accepting banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wire. The power cord is included, though Im not sure it is the original. I do have the original box and packing material, though it is not in the best of shape. For shipping, I will build a plywood box around the original cardboard box to assure safe transit. This will add some expense for materials and also some weight so shipping will be expensive. Local pick up is encouraged to save on costs. This is as near as you will ever come to a flawless unit. This is the rare Optical Bias unit. The Analysis Pro Power Oval is 4 long.I had the unit serviced around 4-5 years ago. I have never had an issue with the amp! This is priced well below current values and will sell quickly! Please dont buy this amp if it is not exactly what you have been looking for! Audiophiles will understand why I ask this.The shipping will be based on the actual cost to ship this to your zip code. It wont be cheap as it weighs 60 lbs. It will be double boxed with plenty of foam padding. I will remove the bottom and rear feet from the unit. (Of course they will be included.) I do this to minimize the chance of shipping damage. Up for sale is a very nice, properly working Threshold S300II solid state power amp. It easily puts out 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms on our Sound Technology test panel. More importantly it sounds great on music! We played music on it for 4 hours without any signs of trouble and tested it cold the following morning and all was still good! Were giving it an 8 of 10 for cosmetic condition, just a few minor blemishes here and there. It presents very well and the small scratches on the front are really only visible up close and when youre looking for them. Comes with 3 prong IEC power cord which may not be the original. It will be very well packed and we promise it will arrive working and exactly as described No long term guarantee beyond that.
