Ive taken pictures of the condition and selling it as untested and for spares/repairs. Still with original arial and buttons etc all intact and carry handle in good working order. Please see photos. Ferguson Thorn EMI 3T27 Cassette Player & Recorder *Plays Needs Service & Belts. SOLD STRICTLY FOR SPARES AND REPAIR ONLY I have tested this unit using both batteries and a mains charger (not included) on both power sources, the unit operates and does play tapes. I’ve photographed the unit from a distance and close up so you can see the counter moving. However, the sound when playing is wishy-washy and a bit slow, so it is my belief that at the very least the unit needs new belts, but would benefit greatly from a full service and deep clean. Upon testing, I also discovered that the tape counter gets up to 9, and then the second digit fails to turn over, and the 9 clicks back to 0. Unknown if this is a simple or complex fix but needed to mention it. This is beyond my capabilities, however, I know that these devices are sought-after and collectible and anything made by Thorn EMI Ferguson limited in London, England is worth salvaging! The unit is very dusty and has lots of scratches and marks from years in garages etc… Sold as seen and honestly described. Dispatched via eBay Packlink.
