Vintage Thorens TD104 MKII belt driven record deck. IMPORTANT: Please note that the right channel phono plug is missing as can be seen clearly from the photos. Unfortunately, the plug and the cable going into the plug became damaged and could not be repaired so I had to remove it. I connected another plug temporarily but never got around to doing a proper repair. This should be a straight forward repair for anyone with the appropriate skills. Manufactured in West Germany and has the Serial Number 42494. It was originally purchased in June 1981 and, apart from the damaged lead as detailed above, is generally in very good condition considering its age. The motor and belt drive is fully functioning. I have attempted to show the deck in operation in the photos. Note that the deck has been carefully stored for a number of years with the belt removed from the motor spindle to prevent it from deforming. The deck does not have a cartridge fitted. However, all the original fixings, spacers, cartridge mounting gauge and mirror are included. The original manual is included. The original box with all the original packing is included and the deck will be shipped according to the packing instructions on the box. There are some slight scratches on the top of the cover which I’ve tried to show in the photos. Also in the photos, is a review of the deck from What HiFi from September 1980! Thorens Td104 Mk2 Turntable. Used but still in fair condition powers up and works but not very well . Initially there was only buzzing noise cleaned phono lead connections and got sound but still crackled on one channel . Styles doesn’t look the best and wiring on cartridge is very messy. Power cable is new and one that was compatible with this model . Selling as spares repair no returns.
