Up for sale is a beautiful Thorens TD 126 MK III turntable. This unit was from the estate of the original owner. When I got it it had not been used in over 20 years. It was always kept in a closed custom built stereo console with its own lid. Thus the dust cover was never installed and does not come with the unit. Please take note of this! This TD 126 MK III is the mahogany base version. The wood is absolutely pristine. Please look carefully at all of the pictures. The rest of the unit is in excellent condition. There is some discoloration on the metal top of the unit but compared to most of these units it is in very nice condition. Please look carefully at all of the pictures and judge the condition for yourself. The unit has the original Thorens tonearm with a Signet Model 100 cartridge installed. Signet was the high end line of Audio Technica and this cartridge was designed to track at 1.5-2.5 grams. It has the original elliptical stylus on it. The cantilever is slightly bent but the cartridge has been tested and sounds good with both channels sounding as they should. Of course, the buyer will probably want to install their favorite cartridge in this professional grade turntable. When I received the unit I did a complete service on it. This included cleaning and sanitizing all parts, lubricating the motor and bearings, cleaning all contacts with dioxit, checking and cleaning the belts with rubber renew (the belts are in good condition), and checking all of the functions of the unit. The platter needed very slight lifting as it was just barely touching the metal top. Everything works perfectly. Speeds are steady and the speed control works. Quing works as does the auto-lift, auto-stop functions. I currently have this unit set up in may work room and have listened to over a dozen LPs on it with great results. The sale includes the turntable, cartridge and stylus, copy of the manual, the original box and packing material. The original box will be placed inside a larger double walled box to protect the original box. The TD 126 MK III was top-of-the-line Thorens turntable when it came out and Thorens has always been highly respected for its quality and durability. They are highly sought after and command top prices. This is a wonderful example in exceptional condition. It is priced far below what others are asking. Wir haben bei einer Haushaltsauflösung diesen schönen Thorens TD 126 Mk III Electronic Plattenspieler gefunden.Am Strom angeschlossen und er Läuft.....leider hatten wir keine Möglichkeit in 100% zu Prüfen ! Was ich an Fehler festgestellt habe (ohne Gewähr) 1.Tonarmlift funktioniert nur gelegenlicht2. Motor dreht ..aber er macht Geräusche (ÖL?)....hat wohl länger gestanden3. Zu verkaufen ist ein Plattenspieler Thorens TD 126 MKIII Technisch läuft der Plattenspieler gut. Die Beleuchtung der Taste 33 ist ausgefallen. Der Motorbetriebene Tonarmlift funktioniert. Die Beschichtung ist nicht klebrig. Der Aufkleber mit der Typenbezeichnung hatte sich an den Seiten gelöst. Dieser wurde mit Klebebandstreifen fixiert. Der Tonabnehmer ist nicht dabei. Der zukünftige Besitzer wird sich diesbezüglich eh nach seinen Vorlieben richten. Die Haube weist mehrere Gebrauchsspuren auf. Hinten sind zwei Sprünge im Plexiglas sowie zwei größere Kratzer. Die hintere Abdeckung ist dabei. Die Haube bleibt nach Anheben nicht oben stehen. Die linke Plastikabdeckung hat oben einen Riss (sie Foto). Das Gerät ist gebraucht.
