Classic Swiss Made Thorens TD 124 MkII Upgraded/Restored/Rebuilt with the latest modern improved parts to bring it into the modern era of Classic Hi-End Turntables! Start with a very clean, never abused or neglected 124 MkII and then rebuild/refurbish it: Complete disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication of all mechanical components New power switch, terminal block, spark suppressing capacitor and strobe light resistor Complete rebuild of E50 motor including new bushings, oil retention felts, thrust pad and silicon nitride armature ball. New spindle bushings, thrust pad and gasket New low resistance power cord with ground Four new base suspension grommets New Belt - Schopper Diamond polish spindle In addition to the above the following parts have been added: 1. Vintage Thorens 124 mkII in great cosmetic condition but has two big issues. #1 - The motor isn’t working. Still has original rivets in the motor housing so it hasn’t been messed with. Strobe light come on, but zero movement. #2 - The aluminum top isn’t true. This looks like it’s fixable but there is definite scraping during platter rotation. There could also be an issue with the clutch causing this? Those seem to be the only mechanical issues, but I can’t guarantee anything. I am very familiar with a wide array of pro and consumer audio equipment but I am not and do not claim to be a technician, electrical engineer or expert on anything. Cosmetically both top and bottom look very clean. Only thing I’d point out is the knick in the paint near the speed control (see pics). This is a non-working table with two potentially expensive issues, being sold only for parts or as a restoration project. It’s a great project for someone who either knows how or plans on having it serviced. It will be packed properly for shipping. The platters will be removed and carefully stored under the table, etc. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.

Ich biete hier einen wunderschönen, legendären Thorens TD 124 MK II in, aus meiner Sicht, unverbasteltem und sehr gepflegtem Original Zustand an. Er gilt zu Recht immernoch als einer der besten, je gebauten Plattenspielern. Der Thorens war in einem Design Möbel eingebaut und ist deshalb ohne Zarge.Montiert ist ein SME 3012 Tonarm mit Shure M 55 E Tonabnehmer. Der Antrieb läuft gut und ohne für mich erkennbare Laufgeräusche. Der Plattenspieler wurde lediglich vorsichtigt Grund gereinigt, es wurden bisher vorsichstshalber keine Schmierstoffe oder ähnliches erneuert. Die Gummilager (Mushrooms) sind leider verhärtet und am Tonarm fehlt ein Teil der Ablage. Eine kleine Revision wäre vermutlich ratsam. Original Unterlagen sowie ein zusätzliches Gewicht für den SME sind Teil des Angebots. Mit etwas Liebe wird aus dem angebotenen Klassiker ganz sicher ein absoluter Traum HighEnd Spieler! Leider habe ich dazu derzeit keine Zeit und Ruhe, sonst würde ich das Schmuckstück selbst komplettieren.Bitte möglichst an Abholer mit Barzahlung, Versand ist möglich aber nur teil demontiert und auf Risiko des Käufers.
