Nice condition suspension needs to be adjusted turntable scrapes when switched to the 45 speed. Dust cover has a crack in it and previous owner carved an identification number On the top behind the turntable as well is on the back of the dust cover.. Tonearm Anti-Skating weight for Thorens TD 150 MK2 turntable. This anti skate weight is made as a close replica of the original. It is made to the correct mass value required but it my differ cosmetically to the original manufacturers weight. * Please note that this auction is for the anti skate weight and its monofilament line only. The line is knotted and has a small balancer that goes inside the weight but the end that attaches to the anti skate bar of the tonearm is open ended and therefore you must tie the loop end yourself. Length of the line supplied is 25cm which is enough extra line for a couple of attempts and I will supply extra lines if you feel you might need them for free on request. *

Working— with some issues : the motor does take a while to get up to speed -keeps speed well -measured rotation of speed-please check photos-new belt fitted The player has to be absolutely level or the platter skims the belt lift mechanism Slight hum earth/ground issue on tone arm when touched Missing the lid bar on rear The lid itself is very damaged cracked on top very poor I will include this -but not in good shape The plinth has some chips/scuffs Some tarnish to knobs -marks to top plate SME phono cables and decent enough stylus Shure M75EJ Good sound-easy set up Would need servicing some maintenance or for restoration parts etc.. THORENS TD150 Mk2. Two extended armboards - Rega & SME pattern no arm. Good condition, I have had this since university, and used it with Hadcock, Linn, Rega and SME arms, hence the extended armboard size, below which is a brace spot welded to the original subchassis. Not the prettiest modification, but it does the job of reinforcing the subchassis. There is some damping applied - not much needed as the fabricated subchassis is not as resonant as the one piece 160 series pressing. The subchassis and top plate were once painted metallic grey, and some of the paint has come off. The trim plate is a piece of recycled black brushed aluminium effect held on by double sided tape (as was the original metal trim). This can easily be taken off. Linn springs, no mysterious creaking of the suspension. Plinth is MDF lacquered walnut veneer, with plywood base. Not the best as it is an early sample of my work. There are some small scratches and dents from use over the many years. Base is plywood. The lid is from a Rega, has some marks, but is optically clear. It may not be tall enough for SME arms, depending on your cartridge. Everything works as it does with Thorens, ie occasionally 45rpm selection is not as smooth as it could be. Lightly used belt fitted. Bearing cleaned and new oil will be provided. Suspension is set up for a Rega, so just fit your own single hole or three point fix Rega arm and off you go. Depending on your cartridge, Rega arm may need a spacer to raise height for correct VTA. Got to go, I need to continue clearout.Return accepted at buyers cost, for good reasons. I have described and photographed the deck as thoroughly as possible, small scuffs, marks etc. should be expected for a used item. You could do a lot worse.
