Miles was Theta Digital’s first Compact Disc Player. First released in June of 1997, Miles was based on the Pearl’s ultra-stable transport, with the all-important additions of D to A conversion using Theta’s proprietary algorithms on a high powered computer, and an analog volume control similar to Casablanca’s. The DAC was a hybrid combining the advantages of one-bit with those of 18 bit technology.
