It powers up as shown in the photo and the tray will open and close but it will not output any audio. It does respond to the push buttons on the front panel. This is a great transport with the high end Phillips upside down CD platter mechanism. This just came back from the shop (St Louis best repair shop, Alpha Tech) for a bent motor axle (see pic with receipt). The transport has an inspection and all maintenance done to it and is good to go. Comes with universal remote and power cord. You will love the sound and style of this great piece. The black anodize is very attractive on the faceplate.

Solid build, this is a very heavy piece. Operates perfectly. The tray loader uses the Pioneer Stable Platter Mechanism, upon which the CD is placed label side down, play side facing up. Plays CDs, CD-r and CDRW. The Jade was the top of the Theta transport line-up for some time. Read the online reviews and youll know why. Very analog sound, with no digital haze or glare.
