Selling this U-Turn Orbit Theory turntable in white oak finish, purchased new on September 5, 2024. This flagship model, awarded CNETs Best Turntable Under $1000 and featured in TIMEs Best Inventions 2023, is currently set up in my system although seeing minimal play. With less than 30 hours of gentle use at most, its in excellent condition and comes with both the installed Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge and a brand new Ortofon Bronze stylus upgrade (which would run $1239 pre-tax direct from U-Turn). The Oak Turntable In a very good condition. Pro-ject P2 Tonearm with Ortofon 510 cartridge tracking at 1.6 grams. The tonearm is a 9.5, 240mm arm with a mounting distance of 220mm. An overhang of 17.5 mm. Adjustable for height and azimuth. New Beech Ply arm board. The Oak is a simple manual 2 speed, belt driven turntable using a high quality Swiss AC synchronous motor. The plinth is made from 22mm chip-board covered in light oak veneer. The main bearing assembly is an inverted brass housing machined in one piece which is a push fit onto a Medite platter, the cherry red belt runs round a v shaped groove in the platter rim. A small chip at the right front corner. The grey plastic base had a crack in it but has been drilled to stop getting any longer and the inside of the case has been fibre glassed over the crack to add strength. Now fitted with 3 Pro-ject feet. Dust Cover has a few small marks but nothing terrible. Will be well packaged.
