Here is an amazing and beautiful Vintage 1961 The Fisher 400CX 400-CX-2 Tube Stereo Preamplifier in wood case with all of the original paperwork. Serial # 20059 A. Comes loaded with all vintage (most original) tubes (3- Fisher Mullard & 1 GE 7247s, 3- Amperex Globe, 1 GE 12AX7, 1- Fisher Telefunken 12AT7, Fisher Mullard EZ80). Nice overall condition with some typical wear spots on gold face. Stored for decades, I brought it up slowly with my variac and it sounds amazing. Hi Everyone! Up for auction is a vintage The Fisher tube stereo preamplifier model 400-CX-2 in good original shape. There is no cabinet included and the far right two knobs are missing the gold end caps, otherwise it has all its original Telefunken/Fisher tubes and all the colored lenses on the front are there and knobs are original. No damage to the unit however the center bottom of the faceplate has a very small ding and there is a nick on the far right upper face (see photos 4-5). Fairly clean chassis and it could use more detailed cleaning. I powered the unit for a few moments and the tubes lit up along with the colored lenses (see last photo) but that is all the testing done recently, I have not used this preamplifier since 2002 and it did work back at that time however it will be sold as-is since it may need by now capacitors and deoxit on the controls and the switches so bid accordingly.
