Description
2x TESLA ECC803S (CV4004 7025), Same 1968 Codes, Matched/Balanced, Worse Prints = Discount, 100%+, 097+100 You are bidding on a matched pair of original 1968 TESLA ECC803S / 12AX7WA tubes. These are rare tubes made by TESLA, with large O getter, long ribbed plates, non-corrosive pins, controlled heater warm-up technology, and yellow prints (these feature the later 32-style logos). These are industrial-grade tubes designed for long life and rough operating conditions. These have identical 9/1968 date codes, same construction. Both tubes have partially smeared prints, and are priced accordingly. Both are tested as 100%+, matched with balanced sections (within approx. 10%): Tube 1 (097): Ia1= 2.30 mA / Ia2 = 2.40 mA, S/gm1= 1.80 mA/V / S/gm2= 1.70 mA/V Tube 2 (100): Ia1= 2.30 mA / Ia2 = 2.10 mA, S/gm1= 1.80 mA/V / S/gm2= 1.80 mA/V ..where new/unused tube should have S/gm = ~1.60 mA/V, good starts at 1.2 mA/V. These are great for hi-fi, as well as for all guitar amps (Marshall, Fender, Orange, Selmer, Vox, Laney etc.). The TESLAs ECC803S are on par with Siemens E83CC, Telefunken ECC83 and other great vintage tubes, some like these even better. Do yourself a favor, and re-tube with vintage tubes. I have more vintage ECC82, ECC83, and ECC81 tubes for sale in my other listings. See my other items for more vintage, rare tubes: pairs of AZ11/AZ1/RGN1064 mesh plate rectifiers, NOS TESLA E88CC and ECC802S, ECC803S triodes, NOS NIB 1950s foil getter Tungsram EZ80 singles/pairs, and more...
