Up for auction is one of the legendary audio amplifier triodes AD101 made by TELEFUNKEN in July 1943 (fabrication code ui)The tube is offered in used condition, but still has a very satisfactory emission.The plate current was verified using a calibrated German tubetester FUNKE W20, operated using a stepdown - transformer from 230 to 220 V AC.The result found for the plate current under standard test conditions are quoted in the table below. The vacuum test did not give any indication of a leak. In spite of its considerable age of more than 80 years, the tube still flaunts a plate current of 80% of the value stated in the original TELEFUNKEN specification sheets. ----------------------- Sie bieten auf eine der legendären Audio Leistungstrioden AD101 hergestellt von TELEFUNKEN im Juli 1943 (Herstellungscode ui). The ugly little brown particle on the front of the tube was caused by a sticky piece of insulating hose with which the tube was stored in the same box for a long time.
