Tektron TK One CD Tube Buffer is a point-to-point wiring (NO PCB used) design that serves as vacuum tube buffer to be placed between a digital source such as CD player (or any DAC) and an amplifier (preamp, integrated). The purpose of this gear is to add realism to digital music sources, making the sound less sharp on the edges and more enjoyable for high-end listening (smoother and silky). It DOESN’T add colour to the sound NOR gain to the signal, hence it doesn’t amplify the signal, the gain is 1:1 = NO ADDED DISTORTION, NO ADDED NOISE FLOOR. The output impedance is 600ohm, suitable for those who already have a solid state CD Player with integrated DAC or a solid state DAC, linked to either a solid state preamp or integrated amp and want to add vacuum tube sound into the chain at the input stage - source stage without changing components in order to add realism to the sound: second order harmonics emphasised by the vacuum tubes might enhance the digital listening experience for those who tend to like the slightly tuby sound.
