I have enjoyed this pair from Tekton Design for the past 5 years (Im the 2nd owner) This early version of the Impact speakers for sale here was the forerunner to the hugely popular Double Impact. They have played exceedingly well with flea watt amps, 45 and a ECL-86, and 300B SET and Dayens Ampino. Excellent detail retrieval, rich tone, solid bass down to 40-50Hz, and 3D sound-field! 100% functional and in excellent cosmetic condition. I previously owned Tekton Lore and IMHO, this pair of Impact are noticeably better. Prefer local pick up in Mesa, AZ, $1100 I have the original boxs, so I can ship at buyers actual expense.(exact shipping price determined after sale, ebay just gives a good estimate.) Up for sale is a pair of Fostex FE207E full range drivers. I removed these from my pair of Tekton Designs 6.5 monitors as i am moving and cant bring them with me and also do not want to ship a pair heavy monitors, do drivers it is! I am the orig owner of these and were used in SET 2A3 amp setup. Amazing On Axis imaging, Lowthers on a budget. No orig boxes but will pack safely. Will include orig gaskets for mounting. I had to clip the orig wires as they were soldered to the terminals on both ends, so you will have to de-solder the nubs. Other than being a little dusty from indoor closet storage they are fully functional, smooth woofer movement. 8ohm. See images for spec sheet. They are heavy so shipping will cost accordingly. Went thru another upgrade and unfortunately have to sell this pair - too many speakers and not enough room. These are FANTASTIC true Audiophile speakers, very easy to drive. Being 8OHm and 98dB sensitivity, they are VERY tube amplifiers friendly, I easily drove them to concert levels by my puny 3W per channel 2A3 based SET amplifier. Excellent twitter and awesome bass driver with whizzer cone. Front ported so you can place them closer to the wall. Single wire connection.I am a second owner,and had them for about three years. Used but never abused. Tried them in my various systems and ALWAYS with great results. Huge sound stage and center imaging,solid bass and airy treble.I have both, the hard wood floor footers and carpet spikes.My pair comes with no grilles (they are non magnetic and optional when ordering directly, if chosen there are peg holes added to the front). I do have original boxes but they are really too thin for transportation (Tekton probably thought they will be used for only one shipping trip,they already survived two,not sure if they will hold another travel, so would PREFER local pick up,but willing to ship as well).
