This auction is for 1 day only and features a very powerful vintage amplifier by Technics. The SU-V707 is from 1983 and is an integrated amplifier that delivers good looks and a powerful 90W per channel power section that handles most speakers without any problem. This particular unit is the multi-voltage imported version which can work on all voltages from 100-220v. This amplifier has all the typical inputs and outputs youll need, from Aux, to Tuner, Tape and Phono this amplifier has you covered. The headphone input is capable of powering inneficient audiophile headsets which is a plus when a dedicated headphone amp is not available. The amplifier and preamplifier are connected with U jumpers which means the amp section can be disconnected and used as a stand alone stereo preamplifier which is nice if you have a bigger amp you want to use instead of the built amp that comes in the SU-V707. This amplifier is in good working condition. All switches, inputs and outputs work great. The only problem is: PLEASE READ! The main speaker terminals Left/Right (top row)on the back of the amp are broken. The remote speaker terminals (L/R)work fine. One terminal is a little loose but works just fine. If all you plan on using is 2 speakers, just hook them to the remote speaker terminals and you are good to go. Technics is famous for using crappy speaker terminals and this model was no exception. I would upgrade the terminals in the future with banana type terminals for a more solid connection if it were me. As it stands, the amp works great. I tested it with my JBL 2500 and Tannoy Stirling speakers and the sound was smooth powerful and detailed like a good vintage amp should. it has a few cosmetic marks and scuffs but pretty normal for a vintage component that is 40 years old. The only drawback is the speaker terminals, but if all you plan on using is 1 pair of speakers then you are good to go. There you have it, make it yours with your winning bid today!!
