Technics SL-P8 CD Player Black w/Remote and Owners Manual Working This was purchased from the estate of the original owner and is in very nice and working condition The deck has had some general maintenance work done very recently, there are 2 belts in this player- 1 for the tray open and close, and one for the laser pickup movement. Both belts were replaced with new ones sourced from Deck Tech. While changing the belts the long drive screw for the laser movement was removed and cleaned of all old grease and relubed with fresh synthetic grease. Also the 2 guide rails for the laser were cleaned. The deck is now working perfectly, I gave it a few hours of use in my system to make sure it was stable and I did not have any problems with it. For those who are wondering about the unusual pitch control, yes it works just fine. Please check the pics for cosmetic condition, there are a few very minor blemishes but overall this is in very nice shape. Comes with the original owners manual and remote. A word about the remote, it seems to be somewhat temperamental with regards to the batteries, for instance during the time this was in my system the remote was working fine but when I went to do this listing it suddenly had no power. I removed the batteries and put them back in and it works again. Prior to shipping this the mechanism will be locked with the screws on the bottom, this is explained in the owners manual Will be packed very well to avoid shipping damage
