This Technics SL-1700 Direct Drive Automatic Turntable System is a top-of-the-line audio component. Made in Japan, this turntable is built with high-quality materials and designed to provide excellent sound quality. I plugged in and it spins and turns off when needle is set on holder (I have a video) I didn’t test with speakers connected to hear record because I moved it into the garage to sell. I’m downsizing. The cover is broken on the one connector (see pics), but the cover completely covers the turntable fine. I’m going to say for parts only because I don’t want returns since I’m moving. It’s a great unit.
