Maintained Grease up, lubrication, contact revival, adjustment of each part, cleaning, etc. Features of SL-1301: Automatically controls the turntable speed. It is equipped with an electronic brake mechanism to stop the turntable quickly. It is a very popular model with good operability. Check items after maintenance: 45 rpm and 33 rpm speed stable and normal. Single disc and LP disc auto play function normal. Repeat function normal. Cartridge left/right playback normal. Electronic brake mechanism normal. There are some minor scratches on the cabinet. Dust cover is cracked in two places. (9th and 10th images). They have been repaired with a strong adhesive, so I do not think they will spread any further. The PHONO (RCA) cable has been replaced with a new one. (8th image) SL-1301 has been on the market for more than 40 years. The sound quality of the PHONO cable has deteriorated over time, and in rare cases, there have been defects in the playback of one channel. Technics SL-1301 Direct Drive Quartz Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. This turntable comes with a Shure cartridge and stylus. Thoroughly tested and working, the auto return is a little lazy. The tone arm doesnt return until it gets to the record label. All other functions work as designed. Tone arm adjustments perform their intended functions, cuing raises and lowers the tone arm as it should, strobe is bright and accurate. Speed is right on both on 33 and 45 Rpms. Sound quality is outstanding. All cables are intact including ground wire and RCA cables. This turntable does Not have a dust cover. Cosmetically, there are some surface marks here and there and slight wear where the dust cover used to touch the base. As previously stated, the auto return feature is sluggish.
