Technics SL-D303 turntable in working order, it plays fine but there are some issues. When pressing the start button, the platter will spin, the arm moves to the right before it goes left. It will sense if the disc size is 7 or 12 and cue accordingly. The arm will automatically lower, its a bit slow but better than dropping onto the disc surface. The deck will play the disc and the sound quality is superb, if you press the stop / start while playing the arm will return and the platter will stop. When the arm returns it over runs the rest position and stops over to the right. The auto return function does not work, there is something out of sync. The arm rest is broken. On the plus side the disc will auto cue and play, the removable head shell is fitted with a Sure M75ED Type 2 cartridge with a good straight stylus with plenty of life left; this alone is worth £50+ The platter edge has timing marks which when used in conjunction with the strobe light and pitch control you can control the speeds. The speeds are bang on and stable once set, a very musical deck. The dust cover is in poor condition, marks and scratches and one hinge is broken. Simply remove when you want to play and replace when finished. Comes with the usual RCA plugs, earth cable and a UK mains plug, all ready to enjoy.
