I have several EQs and three of these. I am downsizing and I have to liquidate a lot of gear. I can tell you that out of my many equalizers, I will be keeping one out of the three I will depart from. This EQ has been very good in what it does. I have others that just shape the sound just enough to either make it sound a tad bit louder or the sound becomes boomy in the bass and harsh in the mids and highs. This Technics SH-8017 really shapes the sound. Technics has been really good in competing with brands like Sansui, Marantz and even Luxman (general level) products for way less money.
